We provide initial and recurrent training on the Beechcraft Bonanza class of airplanes. Whether it's your initial purchase, ferrying, transition training or moving up to your instrument rating.
Initial
We highly recommend you join the American Bonanza Society for as much information you can learn ahead of time regarding the airframe. Please leverage their learning center. We follow that syballus for your transition training.
Engine Management
We cover both the IO-520, IO-550 and we have turbine Bonanza experience as well (not many of us out there). We will discuss the differences between Best Power and Best Economy mixture and when to use them.
Fuel System
We will go in-depth on the fuel delivery system. We will work on creating a personal minimum in regards to fuel quantity on the Bonanza. To be clear 30-45 minutes is simply not enough on this platform.
Electrical System
We cover how electricity is generated and distributed in the aircraft. Your circuit protection devices and electrical system failures and how to handle them.
Landing Gear
Abnormal, Emergency and manual extension of gear is the covered. Most importantly is developing your flow to approaches and landing to make sure a gear up landing is never possible.
Flying by the Numbers
A focus on flying the plane by the POH and the numbers is essential to expert flying.
Weight and Balance
We will cover the limitations and how they apply to your aircraft, from baggage placement to the effect of positioning of weight for weather.
